over the thanksgiving holidays i discovered a couple of scabs on coco. i took her to the vet and she’s taking antibiotics right now. from her actions, she appears to be feeling 100% better :D i’m supposed to call back on the 10th to find out the results of the tests.

it’s finals time, so i’m not going to be around for at least two weeks. hopefully, i can get a new layout up over the holidays. inspired by dodo and neige, i thought it would be a nice idea to exchange christmas cards. if you’re interested, email me with your name and mailing address :beat:

i have much to chat about, but i’m too tired right now. william and i tasted indian food for the first time tonight, and it didn’t sit too well with me… i’m not too fond of spicy food x_x be sure to check out my friend andy’s journal. special thanks to my secret santa(s) for the great gifts!

Thanksgiving Break

Hey everyone! I’m still around, just on Thanksgiving break :D I have exciting news. However, you’ll just have to wait in suspense until I return. By the way, I made an 80 on my Econ test, which is good considering I went to sleep instead of studying :sweatdrop: Thanks for the comments: Emma, Renee, Angela, Ruth, Jem, Melissa, leila, Anneke, Rain, Christine, Linze, rin, Chette, tuan, Michelle, Shir, Aneesah, Erin, Natalie, Jem, Mel, Cherr, and Ryan.

Quote from Court:
Q: Doctor, before you performed the autopsy, did you
check for a pulse?
A: No.
Q: Did you check for blood pressure?
A: No.
Q: Did you check for breathing?
A: No.
Q: So, then it is possible that the patient was alive
when you began the autopsy?
A: No.
Q: How can you be so sure, Doctor?
A: Because his brain was sitting on my desk in a jar.
Q: But could the patient have still been alive,
nevertheless?
A: Yes, it is possible that he could have been alive
and practicing law somewhere

Thanks everyone for voting!

*sigh* I have an Economics test tomorrow afternoon and I haven’t even started studying. (It’s almost 2 am, mind you  ) The material is just so dang boring that I cannot bring myself to begin. I also have another CS project due Tuesday morning. I started working on it the day it was assigned, but haven’t worked on it since. Weekends are great, but I get nothing accomplished.

I must force myself to study… looks like it’s gonna be an all-nighter. Thank goodness I got plenty of sleep this weekend! Thanks: Anneke, Chette, Dionne, leila, manda, Michelle, Renee, Shelli, Tarah, and tuan.

Learned a Halo 2 cheat… let me know if you’re interested :)

Halo 2

So much for the cold weather! I’ve worn my new sandals every day this week :look: It’s kind of cold today since it’s raining. I hate rainy days because I have the hardest time waking up in the morning. I had planned to wake up at 6:30 am and get a shower, but I ended up sleeping until 8:15 :sweatdrop:

Andy picked up his copy of Halo 2 at midnight Monday/Tuesday. I beat the entire campaign in ONE day  The ending is somewhat disappointing, but the campaign itself is a lot of fun. The AI characters are much smarter and you can interact with the boards. I won’t spoil it for anyone ;) I don’t care much for the multiplayer, but I guess I’ll just have to get used to it. Will and I are debating whether or not to buy a copy for ourselves.

I’ve been helping my friends with their Intro to Webdesign projects, which has put me in the mood to make a new layout. I started to work on one yesterday, but I doubt that I’ll finish it anytime soon.

Note to everyone: NEVER rent Titus - it’s the dumbest movie ever.

Please vote for my Halloween patch (#77) and/or Quilt Page.

Brrr, It’s Cold Out There

It’s *finally* beginning to feel a lot like Christmas here! Earlier this week, I bought a pair of Rainbow sandals (which are super comfortable, I might add) since I had given up on the cold weather. Needless to say, I only got to wear them twice x_x

Speaking of Christmas, my mom is currently searching for me a puppy! I think she feels sorry for me because I was quite disappointed last weekend. Last Friday she phoned to tell me that her friend was giving away a toy poodle and wanted me to have her. I called the lady several times, but she never answered. Finally, I got in touch with her Sunday afternoon only to learn that she’d changed her mind about the puppy :( Although I expected the lady to change her mind, I was still sad. I’ve wanted a puppy for a long time, but my parents didn’t want to pay the outrageous pet deposit at my apartment. Now that I have a job, I can pay the deposit myself. At first I wanted a pound or shelter pup, but I think my mom wants me to get a full-bred instead. I just want a lapdog that I can carry around in a handbag ;)

I got to go run some errands before the stores close. Thanks for the comments: Angela, Jem, Natasja, tuan, Brigitte, Mitu, Christy, Emma, Sam, Rach, Chette, Ni, Mike, Rebecca, kir, Michelle.

Please vote for my Halloween patch and/or Quilt Page.

The Return of the Geek

Oh my goodness… guess what I just watched on AOL? The Star Wars Episode III Teaser Trailer!! The movie looks freakin’ awesome judging by the teaser. I really hope that Lucas doesn’t screw this one up.

Will and I are watching Van Helsing right now. I’m about to go to bed because this movie really sucks. It’s so cliche… I hate movies like this  Andy just phoned with bad news — Halo 2 sucks. I haven’t played it yet, so I can’t judge for myself. However, Andy is a total Halo nerd, so I trust him ;) I’m really not surprised because nothing is ever as good as the original.

I must brag again. I was the only person to make a perfect score on our second Computer Science exam! :woot: I also made a 100 on my second Art History exam. I’m really hoping for straight A’s this semester. Wish me luck!

I’m so glad that the election is finally over. Now we can all return to loving each other once again :beat: If you’re feeling down, watch this and you’ll never be sad again. Qbee members: please vote for my Halloween patch and/or Quilt Page. Nighty night!

Oh, btw - does anyone know how to install a Gravatar in b2? If so, please let me know.

Broken CD Player

Hope you all had a great Halloween weekend! What did everyone do? Friday night, William, Andy, and Alan threw a party. They had quite a turnout. I’ve posted some pictures in my album. I was Jeanie :) Saturday night, Andy and his girlfriend, Mary, Alan, and his girlfriend, Erin, went to see Saw with William and me. It had a good twist and some scary parts, but overall, I thought it was pretty stupid. I’m extremely picky about movies, though.

I discovered a new internet radio station that I adore — StreamingSoundtracks.Com. While at work Thursday morning, I was tuned in and heard a really cool song from Matrix: Revolutions. After work, I rushed to buy the cd, ripped open the plastic wrap, and put it in my cd player. Before I even got to hear a single note, my CD player messed up with 5 cds, including my brand new cd, stuck inside :frown: It’s a pre-installed disc changer, so there’s no hope of me removing any of the trapped cds myself. On top of that, there are no Isuzu dealerships in Tuscaloosa, so I’m going to have to take a roadtrip just to get it fixed :grr:

That’s about it. If you’re a Qbee member, please vote for my Halloween patch and/or Quilt Page  Before you go, check out the new Caption Challenge. Thanks for all the wonderful comments: tuan, Michelle, Emma, Sam, Rach, Chette, manda, Anneke, Vera, Dorie, Aneesah, Melissa, Jenny, Chette.

Back

Please forgive my laziness… I’m a college student and laziness is to be expected :hehe: I’ve come to realize that School + Job = Tough. I had to drop Calculus AGAIN because of my math credit dilemma (that’s a whole ‘nother story that I’ll save for a rainy day!). Other than that, I’m doing pretty well in all my classes. Excuse me while I take a moment to exercise my bragging rights: I made a 120/120 on my first Computer Science exam, 50/50 on my first and third CS projects, 30/50 on my second one (because I got lazy and turned it in late :sweatdrop: ) I also made an 86 on my first Economics exam and a 92 on my first Art History exam… Yay!

So how’s everyone been? It’s been 20 days since I last blogged! I’ll try my best to get back on track again. Although I haven’t updated in forever, I still visit everyday to check on my comments — they always brighten my day! Hopefully I’m going to get around to making a new layout sometime soon… I’m getting sick of this one :P I’m also hoping to update my plugboard script and maybe even make a version available for download. Before I forget, I’m changing my email address because of all the spam junk. Be sure to email me or leave a comment if you want the new one ;)

UA Homecoming was this past weekend. My parents came to visit and my mom cleaned my entire apartment for me… it’s spotless! Last Friday was also Will’s roommate, Andy’s 21st birthday. We had quite a celebration! I’ve got a couple of pics posted below:
