The Three Monkeys

Three monkeys sat in a coconut tree
   Discussing things as they’re said to be,
Said one to the others, “Now, listen you two,
   There’s a certain rumor that just can’t be true;
That man descended from out noble race–
   Why the very idea, is a dire disgrace!
No monkey ever deserted his wife–
   Starved her babies and ruined her life,
And you’ve never known of a mother monk
   To leave her babies with others to bunk,
Or to pass them on from one to another
   Till they scarcely know who is their mother.
And here’s another thing a monkey won’t do
   And that’s to go out at night and get on a stew,
Or use a gun or club or knife
   To take some other monkey’s life.
And here’s another thing you’ll never see–
   A monkey building a fence around a coconut tree.
Forbidding all other monkeys a taste–
   Letting all the coconuts go to waste;
Why, if I did build a fence around this tree,
   Starvation couldn’t force you to steal from me.
Yes, Man descended the ornery cuss–
   But, brother, he didn’t descend from us!

I’ve actually added some new features to my site. I installed a couple of b2 hacks, such as Dodo’s Threaded Comments and Latest Comments (points to the side menu). I also added a new set of smilies (yellow) for your downloading pleasure.

So sorry that I have been posting like once a week (another new smiley) I’m still trying to get settled in all of my classes. I also still suffer from the same procrastination disease. I have to wrap this post up quick because I must study for a test that I’ve been putting off all weekend.

By the way, my weekend was pretty good. How was yours? Friday afternoon I ate lunch with an old sorority sister of mine. I had a great time reminiscing (sp?) Early Sunday morning wasn’t too good… I woke up with a terrible stomach cramp So, I took some medicine that causes drowsiness … and I didn’t wake up until 4 pm. 4 PM?!? Isn’t that crazy?
