I recently had to change the bedding in Coco’s cage due to the smell. I didn’t have any pine bedding, so I filled the cage with small animal litter instead. Apparently, Coco hates the litter because she always cries to be let out. Being the compassionate owner that I am, I’ve been letting her run around the apartment rather than making her stay in her cage. This morning, I heard her gnawing on something, so I got down in the floor to check it out:
She chewed completely through the cord! I have no idea how she didn’t get electrocuted. I told her that she’d never see the apartment floor again 
Now, I have to find a new adapter for my cordless phone charging bay.
This weeks’ features include: Jackie Brown and Starsky & Hutch. Both were pretty good. Any suggestions for tomorrow night?
Earlier this week, I stumbled upon the cutest flash animation/movie - Ninjai: The Little Ninja. There are 10 chapters, with 4 more on the way. The graphics are amazing. The storyline is actually what makes the film so great, in my opinion. Be sure to check it out

Oh no! lol - Coco seems to be a daring little girl. My cat has been chewing on the cord to my computer, there are bite marks all over it. lol. Congrats on getting accepted

when i had a hamster, we put him in a little plastic ball because my mom was afraid it would gnaw on the cords or SOMETHING because he chewed the cire on his cage and escaped! >_< (but we later found him..) School of rock is good! The commercials sucked in my opinion, but when I saw it, it was so much better.

I’m a sucker of Ben Stiller movies! I just saw “Along Came Polly” and it was funny! I’m telling you, check out “Shaolin Soccer” if you haven’t seen it yet! It’s really funny! Hmmm…ninjas eh? I remember that “3 Ninjas” movie–I had a crush on one of them.

cedar and pine bedding can be very bad for little animal lungs. you might want to check out carefresh, it’s recycled, absorbant, and doesn’t cause wee mammal cancer like a lot of other bedding can. finally a chance to exercise my small animal bedding knowledge! also, my rats chewed through my networking cable. evil little things

I saw that Christine already posted about the ball. If you don’t want to go that way, they make little “pens” to put them in. My brother bought a few of them and linked them together throughout the house. It worked really good that they had freedom without being stuck in a ball.
I’ll verify what Brigitte said. My sister had a guinea pig that died from cedar/pine bedding. It causes their eyes to close up and they get diahrrea.
I’m glad she didn’t get fried, though

you let your guinea pig run around the apartment? wow. I would let my bird out in my house but I could never get her back in her cage. Plus she poops everywhere. hah. anywoos.. great layout ^^ i love it . the octopus is so adorable.

ninjai is awesome. i’m waiting for chapt 11. Those guys have come a long way since the first episode. i’m proud it grew such a large fan base
ninja’s rock! if anyone here is into anime or manga i highly recommend ‘Naruto’ . it’s kicks arse!!!
I think your little guinea pig might be a ninja Bubs. chewing through that cord.. might have been part of a carefully planned out escape plan lol

Heh. We don’t trust my hamster out of his cage any day. I’ve never heard of chewing through a cord and not getting electrocuted before. I suggest, if you get desperate, using nobite. It used to come in a spray for stuffed animals/cords so pets don’t chew on them (there’s also nail polish-y stuff so you don’t bite ;)) Anyway, the point is, it tastes nasty and they learn they’re not supposed to do that.
