Thanks for your thoughts and prayers concerning the hurricane. Thankfully, all we got was rain and a little bit of wind. I’m glad that we stayed. The power was out yesterday, so we played a lot of Scrabble
Now, we’re addicted. I tried to play Risk (another board game), but it just wasn’t fun to me. The boys love it, however.
William’s family has a condominium on Okaloosa Island near Destin, Florida. We heard that the island is completely submerged in water and the road is gone. We still don’t know if the condo sustained any damage. Hopefully it didn’t because it’s not even a year old.
Not too much else to talk about. I’m obsessed with the game Out of Order. If you haven’t already, PLAY IT! It’s so much fun
Thanks for the comments: Diana, Dionne, Emma, Jem, Joni, Jordie, Karen, Katy, Lauren, Lisa, manda, Michelle, Natasja, rin, Sam, Sanne, and tuan.

They were right… Alabama got a lot of crap, but that was mostly the coastline. My town didn’t get anything but rain and wind

From what I’ve heard, Mobile (and probably the surrounding towns), AL got the most beating from Ivan. He’s supposed to pass by Southern Connecticut today and right now, NJ’s experiencing what’s left of his fury. It’s kind of awkward to say “Ivan sucks” as my son’s name is Ivan. Hehe. Anyway, glad to hear that you guys are OK. Sorry I haven’t been here for a while. Our internet connection is still dead but the good news is that we’re gonna get cable internet so that’s buh-bye AOL! Bwahahahaha!

I’m addicted to board games. My favourites are Scrabble and Trivial Pursuit. I also like that card game, Uno.
Also, glad to hear you got minimal rain and wind. I’d be terrified if they started forecasting hurricanes in Australia.

Hey, glad that you’re all right. It’s a shame about that Oskaloosa (I love the way that sounds…) Island. Stupid hurricanes.
Scrabble is an awesome game, though I don’t get to play it much. Never really understood how Risk is played. Too many rules.

You would not believe how bad I stunk at that out of order game…how embarrassing!! I prefer card/stategy games (like Risk…heh heh) to word games.

We got rain from 8 pm Friday to about 1 am Sunday morning. And lots of wind. But that’s about it, too.

Thank God that you’re safe. I was praying for you and William!
I haven’t played Scrabble in a long time. I honestly can’t remember the last time I did. I love Monopoly, Clue, Blurt, and Chutes & Ladders, though.
I play those all the time!
