I’m so lonely My parents took Pixie home with them last weekend. She’s getting spayed on the 17th of March. I never realized how much I would miss her! It’s just not the same without the little furball chewing on my hair in the middle of the night. I call my parents every day to check up on her. She’ll come back home with me Spring Break (March 25 - April 4). Just a couple of weeks!

I got paid yesterday, so I went on a mini shopping spree I just have to post a pic of my new rain boots! I’ve been wanting a pair since Christmas time, but haven’t been able to find them anywhere. I don’t like the hot pink laces on the front, but hey, beggars can’t be choosers

Remember when I mentioned that the left Shift key on my laptop wasn’t working? I managed to skirt this issue thanks to Caps Lock and the right Shift key. Now, both of them have ceased to function. I had to borrow the keyboard from Will’s computer in order to type this entry DON’T DRINK COKES BESIDE YOUR LAPTOP! That’s why my keyboard is messed up in the first place.

I’m so sorry for neglecting my website and my dailies. This time of the year, school gets really hectic. I’m going to be really busy until Spring Break, then after Spring Break, I’ll be busy until the end of the semester. I’ll try to update as much as possible, but don’t count on hearing from me daily.

I don’t know if I mentioned it before, but I’m a terrible reader. As a result, I’ve missed out on a lot of great books. I’m also at a disadvantage when it comes to school. So far, I’ve made it through three years of college with hardly ever consulting a textbook. Lately, I realized that if I intend to do well in my studies, I’m going to have to make myself a better reader. Therefore, I bought three books this week: Animal Farm, 1984 (I’ve always wanted to read those two), and The Other Boelyn Girl. I’ve already finished the Animal Farm and I’ve started 1984. The Animal Farm was so good that I couldn’t put it down… and ended up missing two classes

Last night, my friends and I went to hear Jackson Jones (Rach’s boyfriend, Michael’s band) at a bar in downtown Tuscaloosa. They are so good!! Here are some pics from the night:

I’ve chosen my top five favorites from the past Caption Challenge. It was really a tough decision since I had about ten favorites. In the end, I picked the captions submitted by Chris, Arwen, Katy, Tuan, and Yajaira. I’ve posted a new picture for the challenge, so go give it a shot!

I gotta go to bed now. I have a Calculus test Tuesday and I’m determined I’m going to make a perfect score. I could’ve had 100% on the first exam, but I chose to watch anime instead of studying I’m going to study all day tomorrow like a good student!

Oh I just love weekends! I sleep all day and get absolutely nothing accomplished… how fun!! *sarcasm* Seriously, the only thing I did was wash a load of clothes and clean my bathtub. Sad.

I’ve been coding html in Notepad for years and I just recently discovered the joy of ‘Find’ and ‘Replace’ I’m working on validating my site XHTML Strict, but it may take a while. I installed Dodosmail 2.0 on my contact page. The new version is great! I love being able to use my skins on the error pages (Ahh, the simple pleasures in life!) Go ahead and test it out if ya want Wordpress 1.5 was recently released, but I doubt I’ll upgrade anytime soon.

I had the greatest dream last night. It was so real… I was in space! I know that sounds dumb, but I was looking down at the earth from the shuttle and it was like I was actually there. This dream also inspired me to start writing yet ANOTHER story LOL

I really need to get in bed since I have to wake up early and complete the homework that I should’ve done over the weekend 100,000,000 kisses to Renay for my *adorable* Valentine!

Tuan is my idol!!! His newest layout is sooo amazing. I’m so jealous!

I was awake until 4 am last night finishing my CS project. It was working perfectly when I turned it in, so I hope I did well on it. CS 124 is my hardest class this semester by far. We will get ANOTHER project assigned tomorrow, except this one is a group project. I absolutely hate group projects But that’s a whole ‘nother story…

So, I went to check on Coco a bit ago only to discover that her cage door is open and she is running around the bedroom. I asked William if he let her out, but he said no. Apparently, that crafty pig has learned how to escape from her cage I don’t blame her, either! Pixie accompanied me to feed Coco and I got some cute pics of the two playing together.

Today was a sad day for Naruto fans. The series was licensed to Cartoon Network. I’m sure that they will absolutely butcher it as they did Sailormoon and various other animes. Oh well, at least I still have the manga, which is better in my opinion

Happy Valentine’s Day! Hope yours was as good as mine. I have the best boyfriend on the planet! Will surprised me with a dozen pink roses and a Whitman’s Sampler (my favorite chocolates). He also tied two heart balloons to my car while I was in class. Talk about romantic! This marks our third Valentine’s Day together.

Other than the fact that it never snows, I absolutely love the weather here in the south. I wore a tshirt to class today. It felt like early summer outside. I wish that Will and I didn’t have so much homework because we would’ve taken Pixie for a walk in the park this afternoon. Maybe Spring and Summer will come early this year!

Anyone have any big Valentine’s Day plans? William and I are probably going to wait until this weekend to celebrate. He has an 8-page paper due on Tuesday and I have a CS project due on Wednesday. I haven’t even bought him a gift yet We were going to drive up to Birmingham to dine at a new Japanese restaurant, but I guess we’ll have to settle for something around here instead.

Thank you so much for all the wonderful anime suggestions. So far I’ve only been able to download Bleach and Peach Girl, but I plan to check out all of them. Naruto keeps getting better and better. The latest chapter (247) was awesome. I was so surprised by the revelations!

Welcome Figgy, my first and only hostee

You know when there’s a murder and the police chalk the outline of the victim’s body? Well Friday afternoon, William spotted my sidewalk chalk in the backseat of my car and thought it would be funny to draw an outline of a body underneath the front tire of the car parked beside me. He made me draw it while he sat and laughed. (Yes, we’re amused easily) Of course, the owner of the car emerged from the building while I was on my hands and knees drawing a picture with chalk in the middle of the parking lot. All of a sudden William started freaking out because he saw the man coming. Now, I wouldn’t have been as embarassed, but William was acting like we were vandalizing something. I jumped up into my car and sped away. We watched in my rearview mirror as the man laughed about the ‘dead body’ beneath his car. I have to admit, it was pretty funny.

Guess what??? I made a 91 on my Cal test! How on earth I managed that, I have no idea because when I left the test, I thought I’d flunked it. Oh well, maybe I’ve learned my lesson and I’ll start studying from now on? Eh, probably not. I’ve been procrastinating my whole life, why would I change now?

I get very impatient waiting for the latest Naruto releases. Does anyone want to recommend anime(s) that I can download through bittorrent? I like genius storylines, action/drama mixed with a little romance… not much of a comedy lover, though. My favorites so far are Sailormoon and Naruto, to give you an idea of what I like

The foremost reason that I love the Naruto series so much is the incredible storyline. If you’ve read the latest manga (Chapter 245), then you’ve seen the 2.5 years-older versions of Naruto and Sakura. I was particularly excited about Naruto’s slight transformation because he resembles Yondaime even more than before. I can’t wait for Kishimoto to reveal the true identity of Yondaime and his official relationship to Naruto. Personally, I believe the father/son theory… it reminds me of the Star Wars/Luke and Vader relationship I will be quite disappointed if it turns out any different. I got bored studying for my Cal test and decided to find images of Yondaime and Naruto from the manga and compare them. Judging by appearance alone, they have to be related somehow:

School is really tough this semester. I’m going to have a hard time getting good grades. I was really upset yesterday because I thought I bombed my first Calculus exam. We went over the correct answers in class today, and I didn’t do as bad as I had originally expected. I think I made a 96 on my Math 115 test that I took this afternoon. I have a GES 131 exam tomorrow afternoon and two Computer Science tests Friday. This has been a rough week!

Time for your daily dose of Pixie… it’s pretty cold outside, so she’s wearing her jacket

As I mentioned in my previous post, my friend Michael recorded a CD and I uploaded 13 of his tracks to my Radio.Blog. I forgot to mention, however, that he’s also playing the guitar. I’m pretty sure he wrote each song himself, too. He gave me the CD Thursday night and I’ve been listening to it all weekend. I’m impressed. I just added the titles. My favorite track is #5 - Crazy.

I wrote a cool hack for WP based on one that Dodo used to have on her blog. Now, I can see which skin each commenter is using I think I should spend less time scripting and more time studying!

I didn’t get anything accomplished this weekend, which is terrible since I have four exams next week. I better go finish my Calculus homework now.

Can anyone tell me how to take a song from a CD and convert it to an MP3 rather than a WAV file? I love computers, but I hate printers. I always mess them up because I don’t know a thing about them and I don’t care to read the instruction manual Today, Will tried to print something and received some strange error regarding the print cartridges. I opened it up, fiddled with the cartridges, then tried to close it back, but it wouldn’t shut. I instinctively got mad and started yelling at Will for breaking my brand new printer. In turn, he got mad and left. Well, a few minutes later I discovered the true culprit - a piece of bark that Pixie had brought in from outside. How she managed to get a piece of bark up inside my printer is quite a mystery. Poor Will, he gets blamed for everything! hehe

I finally fixed all the bugs in my plugboard script. If you’re interested in my script, you can download it here. It uses PHP/MySQL and protects against spamming and broken images/links. There is also an option to email you when someone submits a button. I have four tests next week… I think that’s the most I’ve ever had in one week, aside from finals. Calculus and Math 115 on Tuesday, Computer Science on Thursday, and Visual Basic on Friday. I’m going to be in the library the rest of the weekend, so I better get some sleep tonight.
