I just want to take a moment and rant about a huge pet-peeve of mine Thanks to my ADHD, in order for me to get anything accomplished school-wise, I have to force myself to go to the library or computer lab, otherwise, I will go home and sleep, surf the net, etc. After my 2 o’clock class, I head over to the lab to work on my CS project. About 10 minutes later, two students start carrying on a conversation… and they weren’t whispering either! Another student answers his cell phone inside the lab. This goes on for about an hour. Usually, I have my iPod and I can drown out the idiots, but the battery died this morning and I had to sit and listen to them chatter on and on about nonsense. For heaven’s sake people, have some respect! No one wants to hear about your stupid project or girlfriend or ’swampers’ on your truck.

I finally got my threaded comments working. I also installed a new hack by Dodo that notifies the comment author by email on reply. If you’re a Wordpress user, feel free to recommend your favorite hacks. There are so many of them, I’d like to know which ones are useful.

I’ve decided to close my button rotation, BubblesSWAP, because I’m too lazy to update it anymore. I was handling everything manually, and it was becoming quite tedious. If you were a member, feel free to remove the code.

Speaking of closing sites, many of you know that I placed my elite listing, Perfection, up for adoption. Here’s the email I’ve sent to those who contacted me about it:

Thank you all for your interest in adopting Perfection. Here are the requirements for adoption. First, you have to make a sample layout and send it to me before the specified deadline so that I can choose which I like best. If you don’t want to do that, but are still interested in the clique, I will pass your email along to whomever I choose as the new admin and he/she may be able to use you as a helper.

All you need for the sample layout is an index page, nothing special. However, this is how I will choose who will be the new admin, so you want to impress me Perfection will remain hosted on my server and the old active members will remain in the clique. The deadline to submit a layout is February 28, 2005 - no exceptions.

If you have any questions, feel free to email me back. Also, if you’re interested in the layout competition or being a helper, email me with your name and details. Thanks again!

Yesterday was Will’s 21st birthday. We had a party at his apartment, then went out to celebrate. Here’s a couple of pics. You can find more here.

Coco has been cooped up in her cage for a while, so I decided to let her run around the back bedroom earlier tonight. Pixie whines if she doesn’t get to visit Coco with me, so I held her while I fed Coco a carrot. Coco is one fearless little rascal! She’s not even the slightest bit scared of Pixie, but then again, how intimidating is a Maltese anyway? Pixie was jealous that Coco got a carrot and she didn’t, so I gave her one, too. She played with it for a while, then surprisingly, she ate it. Coco has grown much friendlier since her skin condition finally healed.

While grocery shopping this afternoon, I stumbled upon Frosty Paws - doggy ice cream! Rach’s dog, Bonnie, and Pixie absolutely loved it. Pixie’s is melted, but she’s still licking it up.

Good news, my CS professor took pity on my soul and allowed me an extended deadline for the project. Thank goodness! I didn’t want to start the semester off with a zero.

I just realized that I missed the inauguration today. To be quite honest, I’ve lost interest in politics. I guess I’m too busy to keep up with what’s going on. Well, I’m exhausted, so I’m going to bed. Goodnight.

I checked my referrals today and found that my cam image was featured on a portal called Leg Humper. Eww, I have no idea how it got there. It’s kinda funny, though. All the girls are in there sexy, provacative poses and there I am, fully-clothed and holding my guinea pig I’m going to try and email the admin and request that my image be removed.

I didn’t finish my CS project on time… what a great way to start off the new semester! Last semester, I had 100, 100, 98, 88 on my CS exams and approx. 100% on all my projects except for two that I just didn’t turn in. I got a B in the class solely because of my laziness. I have to change my lifestyle, that’s just ridiculous! This time, however, I didn’t finish because I was really sick. I’m going to try and talk to my professor, but I doubt he’ll be sympathetic.

I went to the student health center today to try and find out what was wrong with me. The doctor wrote it off as an Upper Respiratory Infection (i.e. cold). I really don’t think those doctors know what they are talking about. I was in bed all weekend and I missed my classes today. I don’t think a simple cold would make me feel so bad. Oh well, I’m just going to take my meds and try to get a lot of rest.

I still don’t know what a pingback or trackback is… anyone care to enlighten me?

Well, I’m almost finished with my switch to Wordpress. I still have to sort out my separate archives file and figure out why Dodo’s Threaded Comments aren’t working It will take a while to get used to WP… I already miss my beloved b2! There are a lot more features available for WP, however. I can’t wait to dive in to the pool of Hacks/Plugins.

The skins are down for now. Don’t worry, they’ll be back sooner or later. There’s a lot of old b2 template stuff that I have to update. My first CS 124 project is due in less than 48 hours and I’ve yet to start on it That’s what stinks about getting sick… your routine gets messed up. I’m probably going to pull an all-nighter to make sure that I get all my homework finished. I hope I can keep my eyes open, I’m so sleepy already!

I don’t know if I’m dehydrated or what, but I’ve drank a case of cokes within the span of 3 days. Come to think of it, I’ve eaten a lot, too. Maybe it’s just that time of the month. My you know what is quite irregular… it comes and goes as it pleases. The bad thing is that I never know when it’s gonna show up. I just hope that I’m not wearing white pants that day.

BTW - if you’re interested in switching from b2 to WP and you want to import your old files from b2, you may run into trouble. The directions on doing this are kind of hazy. I got confused and had to start from scratch a couple of times, so I thought I’d post a short tutorial on how to do so.

Earlier this week, the temperature did not go below 70° therefore I burned up in my jeans and long-sleeve shirt each day. Wednesday, I decided to wear capri pants and flip-flops to class without bothering to check the weather. Little did I know that Tuscaloosa County was under a Tornado Warning and it was about to flood outside. Needless to say, I got soaked and sick I hope it’s just a cold and not the flu, but I feel terrible! I have so much homework that I need to be doing right now, but all I’ve done this weekend is sleep and stare at the computer.

I made chocolate-chip muffins around lunchtime today, and I’ve already devoured seven of them Poor William, if he doesn’t hurry back he isn’t going to get any!

Well, I’ve given in to temptation… I’m in the process of switching from b2 to Wordpress. Don’t expect changes anytime soon, though. It’s going to take me a while.

I think I’ve corrected all the cross-browser problems with the new skin. I found this snippet lurking in my CSS code:

This semester is going to be crazy!! I’m working as a CS lab monitor and teaching assistant. I’m also taking
15 hours. It’s okay, though. I do better in school when I keep myself busy I’m taking Intro to Computer Science, Calculus I, General Engineering Studies, Visual Basic, and auditing Precal/Trig.

I watched Liz’s Bichon Frise puppy, Belle, tonight. She and Pixie have the best time playing together! I was going to film them, but I realized that I had left my camera at the restaurant earlier. My apartment stinks because both of them are still in potty-training.

OMG… I can’t wait for the movie Kingdom of Heaven to premiere. The trailer looks outstanding and Orlando Bloom is the star! Plus, it’s set in the Middle Ages - my favorite time period

Anneke sent me a sweet Christmas card along with an adorable Hello Kitty keychain! It was quite a coincidence because earlier that day I was thinking about getting a new keychain. Thanks Brigitte, Angelique, Anneke, and Nekoyo for my Secret Santa gifts!
