Well, my less than a year old Powerbook crashed and I lost everything. So much for buying a new computer. Thanks a lot, Apple.
target disk mode saves the day! the hardware is ok, but the operating system is corrupted (I was on the phone with tech support for an hour this morning). i’ll post more details when i have a decent keyboard.

I just keep upgrading my old ones lol! That’s so horrible that you lost everything though … I know how that feels. Grrr, nasty computer thingies :grumpy:! I hope everything works out okay

Oh my, I fell you pain sweetie. I swear I re-formatt my hard drive and re-do the entire OS like once a year at least now. Things get so messed up. Arrrr, I hope it’s all well now sweetie. Usually Apples don’t have such terrible problems. One day I hope I can get an apple myself, I want to see how well it does aganist a PC.
