Hi I'm Bubs, welcome to my home on the web!

Thanks for stopping by! You have stumbled upon the personal website of Sidney Collins (aka Bubs). I'm a 24-year old student at the University of Alabama studying Computer Science and Mathematics. When I'm not busy programming you'll probably find me writing, drawing, reading, shopping, eating, or playing Monopoly.

Question of the Day

If you call someone a close-minded idiot for believing in God, doesn’t that make you just as closed-minded as the other guy? I see this happen a lot.

I’m going to try and put the new layout and content up soon. I’m also starting a ‘Dream Diary’… I have very interesting dreams, so that should be fun ;)

I find it funny how so many self-righteous people never realize how hypocritical they are.

Good luck with the Dream Diary! I kept one for awhile, but then stopped because I just wanted to be able to enjoy my mornings without trying to rack my brain for all the details from whatever I’d just been dreaming about.

I’ve written half a response to your email about the tabbed browsing. I’ll finish it up this afternoon and send it on! Sorry for the delay.

Ah yes, I have kept so many dream diaries it’s silly. But I can never seem to keep them up for more than a few months. It becomes tiresome trying to write every morning (though it works better if you give yourself a few hours to think about it first)… so I just mention my dreams in my livejournal if they seem significant.

I dreamt the 7/7 bombings and at the time the dreams seemed so vivid that I pretty much warned all my friends that something bad was gonna happen on London transport and wrote a note to myself and put it in my purse signed and dated… lo and behold a couple weeks later it happened and I was gobsmacked. I still have the note.

As for close mindedness, you’re only close minded when you can’t accept another person’s beliefs (not necessarily believe in them, but understand what and why they do). You are not close minded for believing in God, but maybe close minded for believing that believing in God is the only way to live.

    That’s crazy!

I dreamt of an earthquake once and California had a minor one the following day. That’s my claim to fame ;)

Definitely. It’s one of the many classic arguments. That’s why it is useful when you need to judge people (by what they say about others). It’s like a mirror of their own mind.

I totally agree! In fact is rather funny because I happened to be discussing the same thing with my boyfriend the other night.

Its like if you tell someone their god/gods dont exist it means that you disrespecting your own god/gods because if theirs dont exist then why would yours.

Oo, a dream diary should be very interesting. I think I would have a bit of a problem keeping one, since I usually forget what I dreamt a few minutes after I wake up, haha
