Do I have any fellow Maneki Neko lovers? I’ve admired them since I stumbled upon a fansite way back in the day. Last Halloween, I found one for sale at the fair and I just had to buy it. He’s a resilient little guy because he survived a toss by a drunken boy the night I bought him! Anyways, I found another one at a Chinese gift shop tonight. His arm is broken, so I got him for only $3!
I consider these babies the beginning of my collection.
(For more info on Maneki Neko visit Sushi Cat.)
In other news, I’m now sporting bangs!
I really like the change, but miss letting my hair dry naturally
Ok, I have a splitting headache… goodnight!

I’ve seen those before! I think in a Chinese gift shop in Disney World’s Epcot Center down here in FL. They are so cute! I bet they’ll be fun to collect.
Ooh, I love your bangs! I just got bangs too…well kind of. It’s kind of more like a side-swept thing, not real bangsy…if that makes sense. My hair can’t really dry naturally either and look good, at least to me. It gets puffy. XD
Hehe, have a great Saturday!

I know what they are! I (like Melissa) found some at Epcot Center. I got mine at the Japanese Pavillion. I got a really fat pink one, and then some little tiny ones too! They’re just too cute! Yay for bangs by the way. I have bangs, always had. Glad to see someone else out there has some too!

I had a small maneki neko keychain before
they’re very cute. Since they are Japanese you might have some luck with them if you searched google in Japanese. I found that to be the case with origami - even though you can’t necessarily read the sites, the pictures are still helpful

I don’t think my boyfriend would be happy if I filled the house with welcome cats. In fact, I think he would be fairly disturbed. They are really cute though.

YAY! Maneki Nekos! They are fun.
I have a bunch by my front door too. I got one big one, and then a bunch of smaller ones.
Well, I hope your headache gets better. Good-ness, I hate those!

One reason why I hate bangs (yet, every now and again get my hair cut with bangs) - I always have to “style” them
They fit to you though.
Um, after seeing those cats - I’m definatelly NOT a Maneki Neko lover ;). But it’s a good thing that people have different tastes, right?
