Do you have a scratch pad? I always keep a notebook at my side so that I can jot notes, sketch ideas, write reminders, etc. I usually keep a pen (preferably Uni-Ball Vision) in its spine for easy access. Right now, I’m brainstorming ideas for the Perfection forum on paper. The members don’t seem to like the Vanilla one I’ve currently installed, so I’m back to writing my own script

Perfection is a community sort of like YourSite.Nu or Design Snack, but not just anyone can become a member. Applicants must go through a review process conducted by the current members. If accepted, you get to review potential members, too. If not accepted, you can now request your reviews so that you can improve your site and try again. I’ve met a lot of new online friends through the community

I have notepads all around the house. I usually don’t keep one when I’m at my computer because I can just type ideas out.
Maybe you can check out bbPress to use as a forum. I don’t think it’s that powerful yet. If it gains the popularity that Wordpress has though, there’ll be a lot of support for it.

I’ve been thinking of things to post on Perfection to get some things rolling! But I’ve never kept up with so many forums before (Q*Bee, Snark, Candy, & Perfection) so sometimes my creativity gets drained! XD I’ll work on it though!
And I’m a sticky note person. I love sticky notes. Sticky notes every where, in my hair, on my chair…oh gawd I need some sleep. XD Oh yes and sharpies. Sharpies and sticky notes together are great…and when I don’t have those nearby I just pull up Notepad and jot things down that way. ^_^

I always have some sort of note pad or post-it’s on my desk, but I actually only seldom use it for scribbling ideas for websites. Maybe I should do that more often though…
I also always carry around a notepad in my purse, which I also should use more often….

i have bits of paper all over my desk at work that i scribble notes on.
I must admit I hated that script you installed. Why not use phpbb or even the wordpress forum script.

I love cute little notepads. Especially ones by Sanrio or other cute stationery companies. I’m obsessed with pens, markers, crayons, etc. I wish I hadn’t graduated college sometimes so I could still go out and buy a whole load of school supplies once August comes around. I am such a sucker for cool pens or pencils. *sighs with hearts in her eyes*
I check Perfection out all the time, and it seems like its members keep plugging it in their blog posts lately. :O Although I don’t think I’d quite make the cut, maybe I’ll apply sometime so I can get some reviews as to how to make my site more “perfect.”

I never carry a sketchpad, but I do often have my laptop with me. I keep a schedule planner when I’ve got my school bag with me, too, so I can put reminders in there.

I wrote my forum script halfway too and I still have to deal with PMs and all that which is quite frustrating. All the best with your forum, because many I’ve known gave up halfway, including me.

I normally write everything in a dayplanner, but I keep a small notepad and pen in my purse. Perfection sounds interesting, but I suppose I’m not much for forums. =(

I tried joining PERFECTION but I am teh suck so I think I was rejected. Never heard anything. So eh.
I use a hello kitty notebook to jot things down into. It’s handy. And cute. All at the same time.

Oooh yeah, I have lots of notebooks =D. But I have one main one where I keep quotes I like, write poems and lyrics I think of, and add stuff that inspires me… It’s really relaxing I think, lol. Hehe, I like ’stick-its’ too!
I’m also currently browsing your Perfection site and it’s very interesting (I won’t join though, simply because my site isn’t up to scratch yet lol)!

You should really try out Punbb. It’s really easy to customize, integrate, as well as ad mods to it. I’ve messed around with phpbb and xmb before, and I’ve just found modding Punbb to be so much more easier. It’s also very light weight.. and pretty.

I wish I did though - carrying a notepad around and jotting things down. I would definitely look more creative, and I wouldn’t mind having some kid ask his mom: “what’s she doing?” and she would reply, “oh you know, just the things creative people do.”
Um, yeah, I wish.

I was just saying I want to start keeping a scratch pad again. The trouble is, I never keep up with them, I forget I have them, they’re too small to write in, or I lose them. I make things too complicated. I want to join Perfection, but I’m just not Perfect enough yet. That, however, is a summer project.
