RIP Pinky

Pinky, my pink tetra, passed away this morning. She lived a good long life of 4 years. She was always the smartest of the bunch. At feeding time when the other fish would swarm at the top, she’d patiently wait at the bottom, dining on the food that fell to her. When Big Fins picked on her, she’d hide out in the Octopus Cave. Although I’ll probably buy another pink tetra, Pinky will never be replaced!

She is survived by her tankmates — Blue, Red Eye, Black Tail, Fat Gold, Big Fins, and Black Mark.

Will and I are obsessed with YTMND. We found this hilarious one the other day: Breakup Letter, Dramatic reading — I dedicate it to Jem, who will appreciate the wonderful grammar.

I’m sorry to hear about your fishie. :( Four years is actually a long time for a pet fish, atleast in my experience anyways.

I’m sorry about your fishy. I had a pink (albino) fantail goldfish who squashed herself under a rock. I cried all day.

(ps: you can change my linky (pjmommy.com) to my new site (used here to comment). :))

Ooh poor fishy :( I’ve had a goldfish before (which was kept in a plastic bag as I found it in the drain) then the cat next door ate it after scratching the plastic off so there went my poor fish too :(

I am sorry your fish died. I used to have fish in a bowl but they kept dying on me so I figured I better stop the fish torture.

I hope you will find a new great personality like Pinky!

*wipes the tears from her eyes from laughing so much!* Oh gosh that letter was absolutely hilarious! :D

But on another note, poor Pinky. :( I only have one fish left. A big fat goldfish. (I think he ate my fish that disappeared a while back, but that’s another story.) Pinkie fish are pretty. Rest in peace Pinky!

When I was younger, I got given a fish [or 3] and managed to keep 2 of them alive for about 4 years and the other one for 6! I don’t have a clue how we did that because they were only in a plastic fish bowl. Sigh.

Oh, how I do miss my fish but keeping them will only bring heartbreak every 2 or 3 years.

What you really need is a tortoise, it would probably out live you! LOL!
