Hi I'm Bubs, welcome to my home on the web!

Thanks for stopping by! You have stumbled upon the personal website of Sidney Collins (aka Bubs). I'm a 27-year old student at the University of Alabama studying Computer Science and Mathematics. When I'm not busy programming you'll probably find me writing, drawing, reading, shopping, eating, or playing Monopoly.

Blast from the Past

Earlier today in the Qbee IRC Amelie and Melissa were discussing their old-school websites on the Wayback Machine. I pulled up my old website just for giggles and stumbled upon a gold mine — lost blog entries from high school! Included is a post about my husband just after he had asked me to prom (our first date) ♥

Ooo Someone commented on my last entry…that makes me happy! I like comments {hint hint} Today was a good day! It snowed, so we didnt hafta go to school til 10 (and to think it was 60 degrees outside Monday haha) I didnt write anything Monday because I was really depressed. One of the guys I was hoping would ask me to prom asked another one of my friends. I was glad for her because she had liked him for quite a long time, but I liked that guy too. I was totally heartbroken. But yesterday, the other guy I wanted to ask me ASKED ME…I am so excited. He is so precious! Oh, and he looked so good yesterday!

I ordered my dress yesterday…here’s a pic of it, but mine is white. I went with Rach to buy her dress after softball practice. Im excited about prom already!

I think I have a new crush…hehe =)

The guy I hoped would ask me is my good friend Alan, and Rach is still my best friend. William did look cute that day. I remember exactly what he was wearing! Glasses (he usually wore contacts), gray Timberland sweatshirt, jeans, and boots. I was at softball practice when he asked me. Who would ever believe that we would still be together 8 years later? :beat:

Senior Year Professional Photo

Aww, the lovebirds in their cheesy prom photo XD

Below are a few more posts in case you want to relive my high school days ;)

That’s so cute. My husband was my prom date, too :) Who would have thought that the man you loved at 16 would be the same one you love at 26. So sweet, and very pretty dress.

That’s really cute! :) I haven’t been blogging for very long to actually have a “lost mine” of blog entries; I’ll probably get one in a few years.

Not many people actually stay with their “high school sweethearts” for very long, so congratulations! :D Eight years is a long time.

That’s so wonderful, Bubs! A good friend of mine’s parents have been together since high school as well and they’ve got their old prom photo hanging up on the fridge. That’s such an awesome story that you guys have :)

Oh, that is so cute! I dread reading my journals/diaries from when I was in HS, because I know that I have definitely grown up since then. :)

Today, I went to the beach with my kids. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She put the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is completely off topic but I had to tell someone!
