I’ve been around the net for quite some time (over 10 years, actually). I’ve sadly watched many of my favorite websites come and go. The Quilting Bee, however, is still around and going strong! (150 members & counting 
) For those of you who aren’t familiar with the club, it’s a friendly community where members create patches, trade patches with other members, and sew together an e-quilt. I’ve quilted since January 2003! (Here’s my Quilt) But that’s not all the fun…
Members can also:
- Create a profile
- Hang out in the built-in IRC chatroom
- Socialize in the custom, private, spam-free forum
- Participate in monthly activities
- Win awards and earn special shrooms
- Donate and collect free*bees
- Volunteer as staff
Of course, you don’t have to participate in any of the above to be a part of the club 
(Nor do you have to be good at pixelling, which is a common misconception.)

i LOVE the q*bee! i used to be a member way back when, but i haven’t really maintained a website q*bee worthy in a while.
but it really is a great network!

hmmm… it doesnt say tumblrs CANT join. i’d just have to figure out how i’d add my quilt to a tumblr.

I tried to join once about 8 years ago but I somehow messed up my application. I think I somehow made my patch incorrectly. I got all embarrassed and gave up. Maybe I will try again.

I love the quilting bee, and have been a member for a year. I love it, its so cute, I can’t pixel, but I absolutely love seeing what others can create.

Of course I have heard of TQB, but I have never really looked into it. Like you said above, many people think they need to be good at pixels which is exactly what I thought. I will have to look into it because it looks so fun!!

I was always going to join QBee and have never gotten around to it. I remember when it first started! I’m not the best at doing those little pixel things so maybe when I get the hang of it, I’ll join up

Had a quilting bee quilt awhile back, when i had the website dreaming-rainbows.org. Haven’t had one since. But I am currently trying to rejoin. Any chance you could pop over and see if I need anything more to the site and maybe tips to increase my eligibility? But in other words i am really glad you have been able to stay a member for such a long period of time.
