I recently spent my Spring Break in Destin, FL meeting with vendors for the wedding 
We set the date for October 31st, 2009 — HALLOWEEN! There will be no black wedding dress nor costumed attendants, although there are a couple of small surprises in store for the guests at the reception 
The Venue
We chose Rosemary Beach for our venue. The ceremony will take place on the beach with the reception following on the Eastern Green.

My Vendors

- Flowers/Catering: Celestine’s Special Occasions
- Pastry Chef: Confections on the Coast
- Hair/Makeup: Two Fishes Artistry
- Reception Band: Replay (my dad’s band)
I uploaded some photos of my hair/makeup trial to Flickr (friends only). I was very happy with the results but I’m requesting another trial. My skin will be a lot darker by October so I want my makeup adjusted accordingly before the big day. I also would like my hair styled with the veil I choose (I decided on a birdcage veil instead of a flower.)
The cake is what I’m most excited about. A post dedicated to the cake is coming soon.
I created a Twitter for all things wedding. I’ve also started on our website. There’s a lot of pressure concerning the site — all my IRL friends say, “I’m sure your wedding website will be awesome!” so the site must be perfect 
My dress shipped on March 31st so it should be here any day now!
I think that’s about it. Now I need to design my Save the Dates and find some dresses for my bridesmaids.

Aww, congratulations! I adore weddings and the planning seems a lot of fun as well.
I’m getting married in the summer and although I have always wanted a wedding, I think the fiance and I will just enjoy a nice vacation instead. We’ll see though, my family is pestering me to have a wedding lol.
The venue looks beautiful! And it seems as though you have a great photographer (the most important thing if you ask me) I do hope you two have a beautiful wedding.

Bubs, with your hairstyle that is shown I think this birdcage (with or without the stones) would be pretty:

My daughter is looking at Rosemary Beach. Did you have to book lodging there as well. We have to book lodging and it is expensive! The wedding will be next summer.
