Octopi and Apps

According to Natalie, the octopus is the new black :spin: I’m so glad that my favorite 8-legged friend is finally getting his chance to shine! This silver octopus necklace is so cute, I might have to buy it.

I’m suddenly obsessed with all the Web 2.0 apps out there… especially Twitter. I started using it after I installed its Facebook app. I soon realized that you could update it through your cell… how fun!

The Amazing Octopus

I’m watching a documentary on the octopus — my favorite animal. Did you know that an octopus will unscrew the lid of a jar to get to the contents? The documentary stated that octopuses may be as intelligent as dogs.

Someday, I’m going to get one as a pet. Last December, I met a guy at a restaurant who had an awesome octopus tattoo. After I inquired about his tattoo, he told me that he had an octopus as a pet. He special-ordered it from Petco for $150. I don’t remember what size aquarium he kept it in, but I’m thinking it was a 30-gallon. I actually have a vacant 30-gallon aquarium :)

New Category: Octopi

Yesterday, I found Squid.Us. Today, I’m seriously thinking of starting an octopus blog. If squid can get love, then so can octopi. In the meantime, I created an Octopi category. My first featured friend is Dresden the Eight-Legged Transvestite:

Eight-Legged Transvestite

This is the second cute crocheted creature that I have blogged about. I think I may have to learn to crochet just so that I can create some cephalopods of my own.
