Well, my less than a year old Powerbook crashed and I lost everything. So much for buying a new computer. Thanks a lot, Apple.
target disk mode saves the day! the hardware is ok, but the operating system is corrupted (I was on the phone with tech support for an hour this morning). i’ll post more details when i have a decent keyboard.
My V-Day was great! Yesterday morning around 7am, Will surprised me with a teddy bear that is as big as me!
Later in the day, he brought me some tulips…
…and an itty bitty bear…
I was so excited because I’ve always wanted tulips (my favorite flowers) but never received any. Last night, Will and me ate at Cypress Inn (a local fancy restaurant) with Al and Liz 
The grilled jumbo shrimp was amazing! I even had leftovers for lunch today.
I’ve posted the results of the past Caption Challenge… congratulations to Kass who won the Grand Prize of $5. Also, congratulations to Eve, Liz, Louisa, and Alice, whose captions were among my Top 5 Favorites 
And now without further ado, my New Year’s Resolutions:
1) Attend church more frequently.
2) Lose Weight (20 pounds hopefully!)
3) Exercise daily.
4) Study harder.
5) Stay organized.
Aha! Speak of the devil… they are the same resolutions as last year 
Maybe I’ll actually stick to them this year.

I’m so excited!! I ordered the complete, uncut, original Japanese Sailormoon Season 1 and received it last night! I’ve only seen the crappy DiC dub of the first two seasons 
I popped the first disc in and started watching from the beginning. After getting a quarter of the way through the first episode, I thought to myself, “I’m not understanding what’s going on…”. I soon realized that there were no subtitles! (I was proud of myself, however, because I was following the Japanese pretty good 
) I started to panic, but then figured out how to turn on the subtitles.
Question: Should I be concerned if the set I ordered isn’t official? I ordered from a reputable seller on Amazon, but the box looks different from the box pictured. I planned on purchasing Sailormoon R this afternoon from the same seller, but I wanted to ask first.
For those of you awaiting the results of the Caption Challenge: I’m going to consult guest judges so that there won’t be any bias. I should have the results by the end of the next week

Coco got a new home!
Coco stayed with my aunt while I was at the beach a couple of weeks ago. My aunt rigged her up a new home in a plastic baby pool. It’s a cheap alternative to a new cage. She has a lot more room to run around and also enough space for a pigloo. I’m surprised that Pixie has not jumped in the pool with her yet 
Fox News was broadcasting live from downtown Tuscaloosa, AL earlier today! I felt special 
The weather from Katrina is pretty crazy here. I’ve been sitting on my balcony watching the trees behind my apartment swaying in the wind. I hope none of them fall on me! I’m lucky to still have power… I can see the transformers exploding over the treeline. My friend, Rach, lost power at her house earlier. She said a tree fell on her neighbor’s house and that a transformer was on fire down the road. Hopefully classes will get cancelled again tomorrow.
Just got home from Destin, Florida (Well, I actually got home Friday afternoon). I could stay there forever! I love the beach I took some random photos I thought I’d share:
