Pixie thinks that she’s a human and that she deserves to sit at the table with the rest of us.

She also likes to take naps in the chairs while mama stares at the computer.

Mama is boring…

Thanks for stopping by! You have stumbled upon the personal website of Sidney Collins (aka Bubs). I'm a 24-year old student at the University of Alabama studying Computer Science and Mathematics. When I'm not busy programming you'll probably find me writing, drawing, reading, shopping, eating, or playing Monopoly.

Yesterday was Will’s 21st birthday. We had a party at his apartment, then went out to celebrate. Here’s a couple of pics. You can find more here.
Has anyone ever seen the movie Species? We’re watching it right now… one of the characters is named John F. Kerry
I thought that was funny.
I’ve changed my email address because of all the spam I’ve been receiving lately. Let me know if you want the new address.
please excuse my lack of capitalization, my computer is acting up again. there is something wrong with the left shift key
thanks for all the wonderful comments concerning pixie! if you haven’t already, be sure to check out her dogster page. as requested, i managed to get a couple of snapshots. however, she doesn’t sit still long enough for me to snap a decent photo of her. keep in mind when viewing the following photographs that i don’t claim to be a photographer

pixie in her sweater barking at the evil dog in the mirror

other than the evil eyes, just cute lil pixie

zzzz…

over the thanksgiving holidays i discovered a couple of scabs on coco. i took her to the vet and she’s taking antibiotics right now. from her actions, she appears to be feeling 100% better
i’m supposed to call back on the 10th to find out the results of the tests.
it’s finals time, so i’m not going to be around for at least two weeks. hopefully, i can get a new layout up over the holidays. inspired by dodo and neige, i thought it would be a nice idea to exchange christmas cards. if you’re interested, email me with your name and mailing address
i have much to chat about, but i’m too tired right now. william and i tasted indian food for the first time tonight, and it didn’t sit too well with me… i’m not too fond of spicy food
be sure to check out my friend andy’s journal. special thanks to my secret santa(s) for the great gifts!

Hope you all had a great Halloween weekend! What did everyone do? Friday night, William, Andy, and Alan threw a party. They had quite a turnout. I’ve posted some pictures in my album. I was Jeanie
Saturday night, Andy and his girlfriend, Mary, Alan, and his girlfriend, Erin, went to see Saw with William and me. It had a good twist and some scary parts, but overall, I thought it was pretty stupid. I’m extremely picky about movies, though.
I discovered a new internet radio station that I adore — StreamingSoundtracks.Com. While at work Thursday morning, I was tuned in and heard a really cool song from Matrix: Revolutions. After work, I rushed to buy the cd, ripped open the plastic wrap, and put it in my cd player. Before I even got to hear a single note, my CD player messed up with 5 cds, including my brand new cd, stuck inside
It’s a pre-installed disc changer, so there’s no hope of me removing any of the trapped cds myself. On top of that, there are no Isuzu dealerships in Tuscaloosa, so I’m going to have to take a roadtrip just to get it fixed
That’s about it. If you’re a Qbee member, please vote for my Halloween patch and/or Quilt Page
Before you go, check out the new Caption Challenge. Thanks for all the wonderful comments: tuan, Michelle, Emma, Sam, Rach, Chette, manda, Anneke, Vera, Dorie, Aneesah, Melissa, Jenny, Chette.

Plugs:
Jenny’s new layout
Yajaira for my adorable Halloween gift
Anneke’s new layout (sorry I forgot to plug you earlier!)
I’m home for the weekend, and our house is a disaster!
My mom is having the entire exterior bricked. During the process, our house was flooded somehow, resulting in some furniture damage and requiring most of the carpet to be replaced.

I finished all of my chores yesterday and I also deep-cleaned the entire apartment - it’s spotless now!
I’m so proud of myself *pats self on back*
Thanks to Leila, I downloaded Naruto #94. It’s such a cliffhanger, I almost hated that I watched it. Now I’m counting down the days to the next episode - an hour-long special! I have a feeling it’s gonna be really good
Off to respond to my email. Thanks tuan, Jenny, Mandi, leila, Daynah, thao, Valerie, Anneke, Chette, Gaby, Rain, and Ashley for the comments.
Plug: Tuan - because he’s so much cooler than me!
Thanks everyone for the guinea pig advice… I need all the help I can get!
Coco seems to like the new bedding and alfalfa that I bought for her this afternoon. I’ve yet to determine if she likes her Kritter Krawler or not. When I place her inside, she justs sits down rather than running around.

I’ve had Coco for about a month, shouldn’t she be warming up to me by now or does it take more time? When I try to pick her up, she’s runs away squealing, avoiding my hand. When I place her in my lap, she tries her best to get out. She doesn’t like to be petted… she just enjoys running around and hiding from me
Is this normal? More advice would be greatly appreciated.
Tonight, I rented The Last Don. I’ve seen part two, but never part one. I’m going to watch it later. I’m obsessed with the mafia!
For those who love NINJA like Leila, Lisa, and moi, check out Enter the Ninja for all your ninja needs!
Christine emailed me an *adorable* octopus gift… I love it!
Also, Tarah has a new beautiful green layout.
Gonna go watch my movie now! Thanks for the comments: Anneke, Brigitte, cat, Christine, Dionne, Jem, jessi, leila, Lisa, Mandi, Michelle, Mike, Rach, Sam, Tarah, tuan.
Hope everyone had a great weekend! Mine was wonderful
Before I begin, I wanted to let everyone know that I’ve been experiencing some minor email problems. If you have emailed me since Friday (July 2), please email me again (This includes applications for the BubblesSWAP). Sorry for the inconvenience!
Monday afternoon, my aunt and first cousins came to visit. We, along with my parents, grandparents, and William, visited Spring Park, a beautiful park in Tuscumbia, Alabama that was a big part of our childhood. The main purpose of our excursion was to ride the new train that circles the park, but sadly, we missed the last ride by 17 minutes! It was my fault for eating a piece of apple pie rather than leaving for the park
However, we still had a great time. It’s always nice to spend time with family.
Sunday night, William and I accompanied my parents to the beautiful fireworks show over the Tennessee River. Our seats weren’t as good as usual since we decided to go at the last minute, but the show was still spectacular. God bless the USA!

Last but not least, is it a dog or a rug? The world will never know…

By the way, Paislea and Coco met this weekend. They got along just fine
Natasja has done it again! Her new layout is the cutest layout ever… featuring a pink octopus! I almost cried when I saw it
Ivy, Nadine, and Christine also have new layouts, so check them out as well. Thanks for the comments: Birgit, Christine, Sam, Dionne, tuan, Daynah, Joni, tuan, Mike, Carolyn, Tarah, Brigitte, natasja, Tina, and Anjana. Have a nice evening!
Tina wanted half of my comments, so show her some love
Sorry everyone for the recent downtime! I didn’t realize that my domain name had expired
I’ve been so bored the past few days without my site.
Saturday was wonderful! William and I celebrated our two-year anniversary
We drove to Birmingham, AL to eat at a Japanese restaurant called Stix, which was excellent. We both ordered steak & chicken. I love Japanese food! Next time, we’re ordering sushi as well. I told William since we eat Japanese food so often, we have to learn to use the chopsticks… that’s my new goal.
I would like everyone to meet my new pet guinea pig, CoCo
She was my other anniversary surprise from William. I wanted a kitten, but I can’t afford one right now. The pet deposit at my apartment is $300 plus $10 added to the rent each month
I decided to get a cavy (guinea pig) instead of a hamster or a ferret because the people at the pet shop told me that cavies smell much better. CoCo is very loving; however, she is quite skittish. We’re still trying to adjust to one another.
Anyways, Will and I are watching Rocky II and my laptop battery is dying, so I better go. Thanks for the comments: tuan, Christine, Daynah, Sanne, NavahX, Anjana, leila, christine anne, Kanu, Emma, Dayna, Raph, Emma, Mike, and natasja.
PS - If you haven’t already, check out DodoCounter. There are over 100 cute counter styles to choose from or you can make your own! Here’s one of the styles I submitted:
Friday, Will got out my Super Nintendo and we played Mortal Kombat 2 all afternoon. On our way to dinner, we

I managed to chase him across the road to a closed gas station. There were some woods behind the gas station, so I figured he would find his way inside. Meanwhile, I returned to my apartment and grabbed my camera so that I could snap a picture to show my readers
When I returned to the station, the baby raccoon was rumaging for food near the trees. After I took a photograph, I chased him into the woods. He was so cute! I wanted to take him home with me, but I figured he wouldn’t like that too much
I wrote my first C++ program yesterday! Watch out Bill Gates, here I come
My first Calculus test is this Wednesday… that should be exciting. In other news, I’m changing my second major to Computer Engineering since the required courses are practically the same as those required for Computer Science (my first major). My goal is to build my own computer before I graduate
My college is supposed to have an excellent engineering program, so I have high hopes.
Emma has made a new layout for my fanlisting… it is adorable!

Well, I made yet another skin! For some reason, I’m not too fond of the butterfly one
It’s already 3 am so I’m making this post short. Thanks Amanda, britt, kimi, and Tina for commenting. If you like my Quilt Page, please vote for me (#77) in the Golden Honeybear Awards (Contest ends at midnight tonight!) Be sure to check out this beautiful site that I stumbled upon: typedby.com.
