Hi I'm Bubs, welcome to my home on the web!

Thanks for stopping by! You have stumbled upon the personal website of Sidney Collins (aka Bubs). I'm a 28-year old student at the University of Alabama studying Computer Science and Mathematics. When I'm not busy programming you'll probably find me writing, drawing, reading, shopping, eating, or playing Monopoly.

Boring Post Ahead

The foremost reason that I love the Naruto series so much is the incredible storyline. If you’ve read the latest manga (Chapter 245), then you’ve seen the 2.5 years-older versions of Naruto and Sakura. I was particularly excited about Naruto’s slight transformation because he resembles Yondaime even more than before. I can’t wait for Kishimoto to reveal the true identity of Yondaime and his official relationship to Naruto. Personally, I believe the father/son theory… it reminds me of the Star Wars/Luke and Vader relationship :hehe: I will be quite disappointed if it turns out any different. I got bored studying for my Cal test and decided to find images of Yondaime and Naruto from the manga and compare them. Judging by appearance alone, they have to be related somehow.

If you’re a Naruto fan, tell me your theory.

School is really tough this semester. I’m going to have a hard time getting good grades. I was really upset yesterday because I thought I bombed my first Calculus exam. We went over the correct answers in class today, and I didn’t do as bad as I had originally expected. I think I made a 96 on my Math 115 test that I took this afternoon. I have a GES 131 exam tomorrow afternoon and two Computer Science tests Friday. This has been a rough week! x_x

I changed the look of my navigation on the Winter Hues skin, let me know what you think. This is a really boring post, sorry about that. Happy belated Groundhog Day :D

Computer Science Assignment 1

Right now, I’m in the computer lab working on my first Computer Science project of the year: (Can you tell that I’ve been <blockquote> happy lately? )

Design and implement a Visual C++ .NET program that accepts 7 letters separated by spaces and displays a numeric telephone number. Assume all lower case letters. Letters should generate numbers based on this image of a phone. No ones or zeros will be output since there is no letter assigned to either of these keys. Input will be lower case letters only. Only legal input will be used. It won’t be necessary to check for proper case. After reading one 7 character phone number the program should terminate. You don’t need a loop to process additional phone numbers.

Prompt the user to enter seven letters separated by spaces. Then print the corresponding telephone number. A properly formatted phone number has a dash between the 3rd and 4th numbers.

I’ve finished most of it, but there’s a couple of things that I’m having trouble with. It’s not due until Friday morning, so I have time to discuss them with my professor. Y’all should be proud of me… I’m actually not procrastinating for once! :spin: If only I could keep up with my Calculus homework better…

Will’s family heard from their condo — little to no damage! They were very lucky. The owners even expect to begin renting out the rooms again in two weeks. I guess our Spring Break plans are still on.

I’m still obsessed with Scrabble. ‘Z’, ‘X’, and ‘Q’ word suggestions are welcomed. I’ve beaten Andy the last two times we’ve played… even after he bingoed! Wish me luck for the third time.
