Thanks so much for the outpouring of concern after the storm. It’s nice to know that I was in so many of your thoughts. I really appreciate it ♥ I feel very blessed to be alive and to have suffered no damage despite being literally down the road from the tornado. Sadly, many others were not as fortunate. A large chunk of my home state is suffering right now. Please keep Alabama in your prayers and help if you can 
Almost three months later I finally get around to writing my Dragon*Con 2010 summary. Well, that’s the story of my blogging life these days. Better late than never I suppose 
Dragon*Con 2009 was my first fan convention experience. I felt like a 6 year old visiting Disney World for the first time. Thousands of people were dressed as their favorite characters from sci-fi, fantasy, anime, etc. An army of nerds like me from across the country had invaded Atlanta.
Earlier today in the Qbee IRC Amelie and Melissa were discussing their old-school websites on the Wayback Machine. I pulled up my old website just for giggles and stumbled upon a gold mine — lost blog entries from high school! Included is a post about my husband just after he had asked me to prom (our first date) ♥
I woke up this morning to find the following email (after the cut) waiting for me. I’d stumbled upon MyDesignAward in the past, but never bothered submitting my site. Since I was invited, I thought why not give it a shot? After submitting I realized that the email was probably some sort of advertising scheme 
For the past 2 or 3 months BubblesSOC has been experiencing frequent downtime. It seemed as though I was contacting my host about it everyday. Sure, my site would be back for a moment, but within the following hours it’d be down again. Even after moving to a different server I was still having problems. Next thing I know, one of my sites was the source of the problems!
I like to read the books and watch the movies, but I’m not near as big of fan of Harry Potter as many people. However, I’ve had Potter-themed dreams two nights in a row!
Last night, I was having a secret relationship with Draco Malfoy behind William’s back.
Blake had a close call tonight! I guess we really don’t know if he were in the bottom 2, but I was still nervous. Chris Richardson was a fan favorite, but Blake’s performance last night was out of this world! Like I said in a previous post, I detest reality television. The only reason I started watching American Idol is because of my dad (he loves the band.)
My Powerbook is acting up again. I’ve never heard of anyone having the amount of problems with an Apple computer as I have. Don’t get me wrong, I’m still Apple’s #1 fangirl, but these constant problems are getting ridiculous. I purchased an external hard drive about 2 months ago, so everything is backed up, but I still don’t like going through the process of reinstalling all the programs.
First of all, I’m still working on the content pages. I promise they will be up asap! 
Oh, and I still plan to add a links section to the bottom of the main page.

Thirdly, I don’t mean to brag, but I’d like to share some wonderful news that I received yesterday…
So, I was living in an apartment complex located just off the interstate on a bluff overlooking a valley. Nestled beside the valley to the northwest of the complex was an active volcano that had recently started erupting, spewing ash and rock into the air dreadfully close to my apartment. I was concerned for my fellow tenants, so I went door to door alerting them of the volcano. To the east on an even higher ledge was another apartment complex which I apparently owned. I offered rooms to my neighbors until after the eruption. After packing my car full of my most important belongings, I noticed that the valley below was rapidly filling with lava, but it was a beautiful sight! My blog readers would be proud because I remember thinking to myself, ‘I need to take a picture of this to post on my website!’ On one trip to my car, I spotted my friend, Aaron, who was too busy packing his car to say hello 
For some reason that I cannot recall, I had to drive down the interstate, but I forgot to bring Pixie and my parakeets! In my haste to retrieve my beloved animals, I rear-ended the car in front of me. The driver turned out to be a boy from my junior high that I haven’t seen in ages… I have no clue how he ended up in my dream! Anyways, once I got back to my apartment, I was horrified to find the lava had overflowed the valley and inched up to the door of my apartment, blocking my entrance. I woke up before finding out if I saved my animals or not
