I finally got my threaded comments working. I also installed a new hack by Dodo that notifies the comment author by email on reply. If you’re a Wordpress user, feel free to recommend your favorite hacks. There are so many of them, I’d like to know which ones are useful.

I’ve decided to close my button rotation, BubblesSWAP, because I’m too lazy to update it anymore. I was handling everything manually, and it was becoming quite tedious. If you were a member, feel free to remove the code.

Speaking of closing sites, many of you know that I placed my elite listing, Perfection, up for adoption. Here’s the email I’ve sent to those who contacted me about it:

Thank you all for your interest in adopting Perfection. Here are the requirements for adoption. First, you have to make a sample layout and send it to me before the specified deadline so that I can choose which I like best. If you don’t want to do that, but are still interested in the clique, I will pass your email along to whomever I choose as the new admin and he/she may be able to use you as a helper.

All you need for the sample layout is an index page, nothing special. However, this is how I will choose who will be the new admin, so you want to impress me Perfection will remain hosted on my server and the old active members will remain in the clique. The deadline to submit a layout is February 28, 2005 - no exceptions.

If you have any questions, feel free to email me back. Also, if you’re interested in the layout competition or being a helper, email me with your name and details. Thanks again!

Hey everyone! I’m still around, just on Thanksgiving break I have exciting news. However, you’ll just have to wait in suspense until I return. Please accept my apologies for not updating my blog over the past few days. School is keeping me busy and I haven’t felt like blogging lately. My classes are pretty rough this semester… I’m already exhausted! I’m working really hard to become a better student — going to bed earlier, taking my ADHD medicine regularly, doing my homework ahead of time, eating breakfast, etc. — so I’m not going to be able to get online as much as usual.

Did anyone watch the Republican National Convention tonight? You know I did Giuliani’s speech was awesome! He is such a good public speaker. I felt like he was having a normal conversation with me! Senator McCain did a great job, too. I especially loved the part about the ‘disingenuous filmmaker‘

It’s so good to be back I was going insane without my beloved website! The ’simple’ changes took longer than I expected. If you’re wondering what I changed, check out the subpages (such as the Me section)… I’ve split them up into sub-subpages. Last week when I was at home I realized how slowly those large pages loaded on dial-up… it was very irritating! Please let me know if you run into any errors that I overlooked.

I’m stuck here in Tuscaloosa this weekend because I have a stupid Spanish composition due on Monday I’m supposed to be in Destin, Florida with William and his parents, but I have to make a good grade on that composition. My grades are depressing me. They aren’t going to be as good as the past semesters. The sad thing is that I can’t honestly tell myself that I tried my best Oh well… who’s fault is that?? Too much computer for me!

This afternoon I had quite a fright! Remember when I mentioned that my battery charger for my laptop wasn’t working? Well, the cord caught on fire earlier… I was scared to death that I was about to be electrocuted! Thank goodness William was there to unplug it from the wall outlet Now, since my battery is dead, I’m out of a computer! Luckily, Will’s roommate is letting me borrow his computer … thanks Andy haha

Hope everyone likes the new skin as much as I do! You better like it because it took me FOREVER to code, especially the navigation menu above. I still have a few cross-browser bugs to sort out. See that dropshadow in the background? It’s pure css … I’m very proud of that I didn’t have much luck integrating my PHP script with b2, so I put the formal doodleblog on hold for a while (or until I can teach myself more PHP!). I hope that, for the time being, I can manually update my doodles at least once a week.

Well, I have class at 9 am, so I better wrap this up. Sorry for not posting over the past few days … school has been keeping me pretty busy lately If I haven’t returned your comments [Brigitte, drea, Mariely, Tracey, Chette, melissa, Qing, Jaime, nGan, & tuan] I’ll try to do so later this week. Plug: Dodo’s new theme

I actually think I did rather well on my English midterm, despite the fact that I did not study It was composed of 20 short answer/essay questions. Afterwards, my hand was throbbing from all the writing! When I got back to my apartment (around 5), I fell asleep… and didn’t wake up until midnight! Now, I’m going to be up all night studying for my Computer test.

I’m having major Netscape issues with the Bliss and 3-D skins. I have no idea what the problem is and I really don’t feel like messing with it. Fixing cross-browser CSS is a really tedious process… it takes a lot of patience, which I don’t have right now If anyone else is having any problems, please let me know.

I actually made a couple of updates! First of all, I added a plugboard (Thanks to Dodo for the idea). Also, I made new challenge. I think that people will have a lot of fun participating.

Ok, it is now 4:30 am, and I’m still working on this dumb paper!! School sucks. I just want to go to sleep! Anyways, hope everyone likes the new skin. You better like it, because it was extremely frustrating to design! It *should* work across all browsers. However, I’m sure someone will prove me wrong…

Yay! I finally finished my new layout I’m very proud of it, it took a lot of time to make. However, I still have a few minor things to touch up on. I don’t have the skins up at the moment, but they should be back soon. PLEASE let me know if you run into any kind of errors… I have tested this layout on 3 different resolutions, but only on 1 type of browser/computer (IE for Windows XP). I have a feeling that it won’t work on Netscape or Mac Also, the drag and drop window has caused me some problems, so let me know about any errors with it, also.

I’m so happy that the Florida Marlins are heading to the series! Other than the Braves, they are my favorite baseball team. I’m rooting for the Red Sox in the American League, so I hope they clench the game tonight. Baseball is my sport

Hiatus

At least until my life gets un-busy hehe I’ve been working on a new layout, and reading up on my php knowledge, so expect big things in the future! Maybe I can throw together a cute Halloween skin, who knows? I will keep everyone updated as much as possible!

In other news, I hope the Braves get their act together and win some ballgames! If they go to the World Series, my dad told me he would take me! School is actually going pretty good… I have straight A’s at the moment. Don’t forget to join my new toplist!
